In early May the Panorama-Yacht celebrated its inaugural voyage and was formally named MS Saphir in stylish reference to a blue sapphire gem. Many specially invited guests attended the ceremony amidst gorgeous weather. 

 

April / May 2012

The finishing touches are applied as only a few days remain before the official inauguration of the vessel. 

March 2012

The launch went as planned and many curious spectators gathered to witness this unique moment in time. 

January / February 2012

The ship has just received its new coat of white paint. While work on fitting the interior continues, the different components of the convertible roof are being mounted. 

 

 

December 2011

The elegant aqua terrace on the main deck aft continues to take shape. One can already imagine what it must feel like to sit in this space on a warm summer day with the water so close and the tranquility of the lake all around.

November 2011

Work on the upper deck continues. After exactly 12 months of construction, the project schedule remains on time and the ship should be ready for regular services on the lake by spring 2012. 

 

October 2011

The new Panorama-Yacht achieves much of its visual elegance through the refined symmetry of its form. This is also reflected in the detail design of the ship.

September 2011

The new propulsion system and other auxillary appliances are installed in the engine room.

August 2011

The main deck has been laid out with elegant oak wood. Thanks to the dynamic form of the seating arrangements on the foredeck, the genuine flair of a fancy yacht is becoming apparent! 

 

 

July 2011

The ship continues to take shape, the superstructures become noticeable.

June 2011

The first details of the dignified modern design become apparent. 

May 2011

While the exterior of the hull is sandblasted, the detail work on the main deck continues. The new wooden deck is now being laid out. 

 

April 2011

Conservation work on the interior has started, while on the main deck the new columns for the railing have already been mounted. 

March 2011

Work on both the bow and the stern has been completed.

Bit by bit the ship continues to grow.

The shell plates are fitted onto the ribs.
