Since 2006 the Schifffahrtsgesellschaft des Vierwaldstättersees AG (SGV) has structured its activities in three distinct business units, namely shipping, gastronomy and ship technology. This market-oriented corporate strategy has allowed the company to ideally position itself as both a Swiss and European leader.

Since 2006 the business unit for ship technology has become known under the brand name “SHIPTEC Lucerne”. It has recognised the potential value of both the Swiss and European markets.

Today SHIPTEC Lucerne is an internationally renowned competence centre for ship design, development, engineering and construction. Additionally, SHIPTEC also offers consultancy services.
