Fitting Services

SHIPTEC Lucerne is able to offer you the full spectrum of modern fitting services as well as the more unusual trade skills of a traditional smithy. The workshop has all the tools and necessary equipment to fit and machine all kinds of metals and hard alloys. Aside from stamping, blanking, edging, bending and generally forming all kinds of metals, SHIPTEC also has much experience with welded assembly methods.   

As the only shipyard in Switzerland, SHIPTEC Lucerne has the capacity to repair propellers with a diameter of up to 1.5 meters. As part of the prompt and qualitative repair process, all propellers are carefully measured. The measurement data is then put to protocol and archived. If need be, hydrodynamic adjustments or optimisations can also be made to the propellers and their blades. Heavily damaged propellers can be repaired through welding or fusing methods.
