History of the Firm

Shiptec is a spin off, developed from the departement for ships technology of the Lake Lucerne Navigation Company, and is closely related to its past.

The Milestones of the departement for ships technology and the ensuring Shiptec AG are:

1881Construction of the first shipyard with a ship lift
1907

Commissioning of the dry dock

1931Commissioning of (first) own construction MS Mythen
1933-1976Construction of MS Waldstätter, Titlis, Rigi, Schwy, Winkelried Gotthard and Europa
1980

Inaugration of the new shipyard building

1982

Comissioning of the wedge-shaped slipway

1985-1989

General revision of stem ship City Luzern

1990-1991

Construction of the ships MS Brunnen, Flüelen and Weggis in cooperation with Deggendorfer Werft

Inaugration of a new building for workshops and storing

Construction of MS Waldstätter in cooperation with Meidericher Schiffswerft

Deilvery of MS David Herrliberger for Schifffahrtsgenossenschaft Greifensee

Re-naming of the department for ships technology of Lake Lucerne Navigation Company to Shiptec Luzerne

Delivery of the catamaran MS Cirrus

Delivery of the panorama yacht MS Saphir
