Autonomous driving system

Shiptec develops systems for autonomous driving and thus enables the further reduction of energy consumption and risk minimisation in inland navigation.

Visionary paths

Current trends in inland navigation, such as optimal ecological and economic operation, risk minimisation during navigation and in (re)construction projects, as well as autonomy and connectivity in operation, are further core competences in which Shiptec AG is involved. Shiptec's scenarios for the future envisage cost-optimised, emission-free and thus CO2-neutral public transport on the water that is individually tailored to the passenger.

Shiptec is developing various digitalised technologies, assistance systems for crew and nautical procedures as well as new propulsion systems by means of a research and development vessel. The aim is to develop and advance various stages of autonomous shipping.
