If welding work is carried out on components from which there is a clear danger to the use in the event of failure, proof of the professional and quality-compliant execution of welding in accordance with the quality standard SN EN ISO 3834-2 is enormously important and is required as a prerequisite for execution in shipbuilding. These standard requirements coincide with the requirements of the ship owners and the classification societies commissioned by the owner and therefore form the basis for a harmonised internationally comparable execution of services, also in shipbuilding.

Shiptec has successfully completed the maintenance audit for SN EN ISO 3834-2 certification without any significant deviations. This quality process was critically examined in mid-February by an auditor from the Swiss Society for Quality Assurance.
