Service for professional fire-fighting and rescue boats

Shiptec supports the fire brigade of the city of Lucerne with service and repair work for the two emergency boats 'Thor' and 'Blitz', which are stationed at Inseliquai.

The new fire-fighting and rescue boat 'Thor' has been in use on Lake Lucerne since 2021 and has many technical devices and installations. The fire-fighting and rescue boat is used for rescuing people and fighting fires on ships and boats. It is also used to fight fires in buildings near the shore. Furthermore, the fire-fighting and rescue boat is used in the event of water pollution, such as oil spills. In addition, the fire brigade supports the water police with its boat when necessary.
